Living historyThe Cultural History Museum offers different exhibitions spread all over the historic city centre, which emphasize the changeful history of Stralsund and the region. For example you can literally walk into history in the Historic House Museum and the Old Warehouse Museum.

Two Cities - One HeritageSituated in a restored baroque building the bilingual exhibition (in German and in English) is aimed to inform about the World Heritage idea of UNESCO and the specific characteristics of the World Heritage city of Stralsund. Open daily from 10 to 5.

Stralsund´s playing cards
Stralsund´s Playing card factory is more a work shop than a museum. Here visitors get an idea how it was to work on old printing machines. The exhibition shows historic playing cards as well as projects of the factory.
Since 1974 the members of the goldsmith family Stabenow are running their business in the heart of Stralsund. Nowadays you can admire aesthetic jewellery created by goldsmith C. Stabenow, especially the precious copies of the famous Hiddensee jewellery and different works of arts in the gallery.
Be amazed by the talent of our local artists: Have a look at various kinds of pottery, brick ceramics and a selection of paintings at Weber's Workshop.
