Welcome to the Hanseatic Town of Stralsund

A town made from brick

Heritage of power

One colour dominates Stralsund: The glowing red of Gothic brick can be found in the churches, the imposing town hall, the monasteries and in the splendid patrician houses as well. Go on a quest and discover as many historical monuments as sand at the sea!

A town of museums

Museums as many as sand on the shore

Hardly any other town can offer such a variety of museums. Experience a legendary sailing ship, colourful fish tanks, or various nautical, cultural or historical discoveries: Stralsund´s museums are more than just a simple alternative for bad weather!
