The Heilgeiststraße
Heilgeiststrasse meanders gently through the middle of Stralsund's old town and crosses Ossenreyerstrasse, the old town's actual shopping street, on its way from the harbor towards Knieperteich. But it is precisely along Heilgeiststrasse that you will find many small, owner-operated shops that make shopping in Stralsund a truly regional experience. New shops have set up shop in old buildings here, and the unique Hanseatic spirit of trading lives on here.

You will find them at the western end of Heilgeiststraße, where you can already see the Kütertor - one of the last two city gates of Stralsund - and can just make out the Knieperteich lake behind it.
