Barrier-free travel

Of course, right in the middle

The Hanseatic City of Stralsund has embarked on a path of recognition of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is committed to inclusive, sustainable urban development. In doing so, it is always important to take into account issues relating to monument preservation, urban development, traffic and barrier-free access.

Our goal is to offer everyone natural access and participation opportunities.

Barrier-free travel in Stralsund

Tactile bronze model Stralsund

A publicly accessible, tactile bronze model of Stralsund's city center stands on the Old Market Square in front of the town hall. A tactile exploration of the city not only touches the visually impaired and blind, but also opens up new experiences for everyone.
This tactile model is also labeled in Braille.
